Too Much Halloween Candy?

PDF Print E-mail
A mom from my son's preschool just mentioned a wonderful idea for managing the extra candy on Halloween. She lets the kids have a few pieces that evening but all the rest is mysteriously taken away by the Great Pumpkin who replaces the candy with a small toy.

I suggested this idea to my son (4 yrs old) and he was on board fast. Let's see how it goes on Halloween. Have you tried this method? Other ideas? Please comment.
