Telebration! Storytelling Celebration (Boulder Library - Canyon Theater)

This family-oriented storytelling event is sponsored nationally by National Storytelling Network and the Rocky Mountain Storytellers Guild. The theme this year is “Personal Peace.” Four storytellers share tales of times when they were able to find peace within themselves. This is part of an annual event which happens all over the country and elsewhere around the world on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Free.   (Details...)

This is a story of a town with a rat problem. One day, a man claiming to be a rat-catcher approached the villagers with a solution. They promised to pay him for the removal of the rats. The man accepted, and plays a musical pipe to lure the rats into the river, where all of them drowned. Despite his success, the people reneged on their promise and refused to pay the rat-catcher. The first show will be earlier than the usual weekend performances and is a great choice for families. The comedy and language will be (as always) clean. Audience suggestions drive the skits.
